Hearing Aid Information
There are 4 basic styles of hearing aids... Behind the Ear (BTE), In the Ear (ITE), In the Canal (ITC), and Completely in the Canal (CIC). At Family Practice we work with each patient to help them decide on the best style for them, based on their hearing needs and desires. We offer the following hearing aid services:
Hearing aid evaluation-This appointment includes a digital hearing aid demonstration and information on all types of hearing aids regarding size, technology, and features. The audiologist will discuss the patients listening concerns and expectations to help the patient select appropriate hearing aids. This appointment also gives family members a chance to be involved in the process by listening to a simulation of their loved ones hearing loss.
Hearing aid fittings-We fit analog and digital hearing aids at our office. Each patient that purchases hearing aids from us will have a complete hearing aid orientation with follow-up appointments. During these appointments we address the individual listening concerns of the patient and discuss appropriate communication strategies to help the patient succeed with their new hearing aids.
Hearing aid checks- If a patient purchases hearing aids from our office or already has hearing aids we can check the hearing aids to determine if they are functioning correctly. On hearing aids purchased from our office we can make adjustments and minor repairs in the office. There is no charge for this service.
Hearing aid repairs- Any hearing aid that is still under the manufacturer warranty can be repaired at no charge. For hearing aids not purchased at our office or no longer under warranty, we can have the hearing aid repaired for a fee.
Our staff and our physicians stand behind every hearing aid provided by our office. We offer a thirty day adjustment period with each hearing aid purchase and your satisfaction is guaranteed.
